Senior Capstone Trip - Summer 2020

​High School graduates from the Class of 2020 are invited for a capstone trip to France. Designed as both a cultural and spiritual journey, this trip includes the collaboration with Young Life peers in France as students engage together over a service trip. Additionally, while traveling internationally students will engage in conversations and reflections about their next chapter of life as they transition from ​high school to college. 

Beyond that, the trip includes guided tours of:

  • Normandy Landing Beaches
  • The Eiffel Tower
  • Sorbonne University
  • Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Montmartre in Paris
  • Panoramic Parisian dinner boat cruise
  • Saint Germain professional soccer stadium tour
  • Famous chocolatier tour
  • Cheese tasting
  • Hermès silk factory
  • Guided bicycle ride
  • First movie Cinema museum
  • Miniature Museum
  • Saint Jean Cathedral in Lyon​

Lead by HSE Area Director Ian Faulkner and France Staff Becca Boyd, this trip is open to members of the Class of 2020 and their parents if interested. There are 20 spots initially available, and the trip will sell out. 

To confirm your spot, please e-mail Ian Faulkenr (Area Director) and send in your initial deposit via check of $538.50 to the HSE Young Life Office.

Becca Boyd - Trip Leader
  
Becca Boyd has been involved in Young Life since leading while enrolled at Texas A&M University in 2008. She now serves on the prayer committee for Young Life in Lyon, France. She is passionate about connecting people and bringing them together to make a difference for the greater good. 

Her goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment while navigating in a different part of the world so that students can focus on the experience.

Ian Faulkner - Trip Leader
  

Ian Faulkner has been on staff with Young Life since 2012, moving to join staff at HSE in August of 2018. Since moving to Fishers, Ian has developed a deep love for the community and is excited about the opportunities he has to engage with students, leaders, and parents.  


He is passionate about creating welcoming environments where everyone is accepted and belongs and he loves helping kids grow in their faith.
